What is the best way to tilt the Shade upward or downward?
Move the Shade to the vertical position and place your hands at the outside edge of the shade, at approximately the 10 and 4 o’clock positions, before you tilt it up or down (see demo video). If the shade has been in the same position for an extended period of time, it is always best, after moving it to the vertical position, to give it a slight upward push prior to moving it downward.
Where do I adjust the Shade tension for movement?
There are two adjustment points on the Support Arm:
- At the back of arm (where the arm attaches to the pole) which controls the tension between the arm and the pole (adjust with small Allen wrench).
- At the mount (where the Shade connects to the Support Arm) which controls the tension for the tilting of the Shade (adjust with large Allen wrench).
Why is the Office Shade shipped in two separate packages?
The Shade is shipped in two separate packages to better protect the shade during shipment. One package contains the Support Unit while the other contains the Shade. It is possible you may receive one package a few days after the first.
How long does it take to get the Shade?
The delivery time for the Jet Black and Charcoal Black shades is approximately 5 to 7 weeks from the date of purchase. The current delivery time for the Midnight Blue Shade is approximately 11 to 13 weeks.
How is the Office Shade shipped?
The Office Shade is shipped using standard ground shipping within the 48 contiguous US states plus Alaska and Hawaii. We also now ship to Canada. We do not currently ship outside the US, Canada or to P.O. Boxes.
Will the Office Shade work with my desk in my cubicle?
The Support Unit is adjustable to fit most desks and work surfaces with a clamping range of ½ inch to 2 ½ inches. The unit requires only 3/8 inch clearance between the desk and wall for mounting, making it ideal for most cubicle environments (both desk clamp and grommet mount hardware are included).
What tools do I need to install the Shade?
You will need two screwdrivers (one Standard Slotted and one Phillips) and one ratchet wrench with a 3/8” socket to install the Shade. These tools are not included with the Shade purchase. You will also need the two Allen wrenches that are included as part of the purchase.
How do I clean the Shade?
You can clean the Office Shade with a soft damp cloth.
